100 guests were present at the central-Paris “Musée du Vin” to celebrate the Centenary in festive manner during en evening organized by the Institute for International Hospitality Management and its alumni.
IMHI representatives welcomed their guests on March 15 in the convivial surroundings of the refined Paris Wine Museum. Amongst the guests were figures from the Parisian hospitality and restaurant sectors, representatives of the academic world, members of ESSEC Senior Management, and distinguished members of the ESSEC Alumni Association.
The success of the evening was guaranteed, not least by the "début de siècle" theme that saw the hosts dressed in 1925-style costumes, an excellent “1900 buffet” prepared by Yann and Jacques Le Divellec, and the perfect musical accompaniment of a harpist and violinist.
At the end of the evening’s entertainments, all those gathered enjoyed a film tracing the history and major stages in the development of ESSEC, whilst Charles Luthi (Chairman of the IMHI Alumni Association) blew out the fifteenth Centenary candle of the year.
