Diversity in Business conference

This large-scale colloquium represented the first business-oriented event of the Centenary Year, and brought together no fewer than 450 participants and attendees for a series of debates and roundtables on the theme of Diversity, one of the founding values of ESSEC, as well as more detailed examinations of the issues and phenomena currently concerning the business world.
4 workshops and a roundtable session provided the focal point of the conference, with company directors, human resources managers, professors and students contributing on a wide variety of subjects:
- social and cultural diversity,
- gender-based managerial diversity,
- age diversity,
- handicap and employment.
The diversity of the 25 participants themselves also proved a great success, enabling ESSEC to begin a year in which the School's Centenary coincides with a year in celebration of equal opportunities in Europe. This was achieved via an event that was rich in subject matter and enlightening in its outcomes for all involved.
At the end of the afternoon's debates, the Centenary candle was symbolically blown out by one of the members of the roundtable session, Francois Perrot, a recent ESSEC MBA graduate and Chairman of the Net Impact Association.
