It was within the plush surroundings of the Pavillon Elysées in the 8th arrondissement of Paris that the Centenary was officially unveiled to gathered members of the Press during a specially arranged press conference led by Pierre Tapie and Jean-Luc Decornoy.
The assembled journalists were given a detailed account of the history of ESSEC as well as information on recent projects. Mr. Tapie focused his address on a detailed presentation of the School as a whole, its values, and its mission statement. Jean-Luc Decornoy looked back at the many advances made and illustrated the considerable dimension that the School has assumed via the size of its current class of students (500) as opposed to the very first intake of 7 a century ago.
